Tools Don't Cascade. Behavior Does.

The wolves changed Yellowstone's rivers. But they never touched the water.

Here's how: fourteen wolves changed the behavior of the elk. The elk stopped grazing complacently in open river valleys. The willows and aspens grew back. Beavers returned and built dams. The rivers narrowed, deepened, ran cleaner.

Biologists call it a trophic cascade — a change at one point that ripples through every level of the system.

The wolves didn't change the rivers. They changed behavior — and behavior changed everything downstream.

This is what most AI rollouts miss. Companies install the tools and wait for transformation. But tools don't cascade. Behavior cascades. One team using AI to create real margin — showing up differently, deciding faster, noticing more — changes what every adjacent team believes is possible.
